The kennel is done and we got the dogs moved out on the 22th, so Saturday evening was our first night there since we closed on the house in June. It was really wonderful. I have to at this point thank the lady that worked so hard to help us find and get this place, Wendy Welsh of Mariner Realty. If you are looking for a place north of Houston, Wendy and her people are who you need to contact. We told Wendy what we were looking for and within 2 months we were putting an offer in on a house. She helped us get into the house for less money than we expected, so we were able to make a couple of changes right away instead of having to wait. When she says she will find you the perfect house, you can take it to the bank. Check out Mariner Realty at marinerrealtyonline.com. Now comes the hard part of getting the Houston house ready to sell, along with unpacking stuff at the country house. I'm thinking we should be able to list the house with Mariner in about 2 and a half months. I can't wait to get it sold. :-) Anyway, check out the two pictures below of the kennel, all in all they turned out great.
Here are 5 outdoor runs. There are 5 more on the other side of the building. We are going to put down gravel in front of the runs and seed the rest of the yard.
This is a photo of the building with the fence surrounding the kennel. The dogs have two big yards to run in on either side of the building. They will also have 4 and a half acres to play in when we get fencing that needs to be put in on two sides of the property. That probably will take about 6 months to a year to get done. A little bit each month, that is the key to not going broke!!!! :-)
I will be posting more photos and thank yous tomorrow. Wait till you see the great housewarming gift my parents gave us.
