Yahoooooo!!!!!

Just got back from the doctor's and the walking cast is off!!! I still need to take it a little slowly but I can start back in a couple of days on my walking program. This is so thrilling for me because of the crippling pain I have been in for 3 years with my feet. I am so glad to get both of the bone spurs off my feet. Dr. Reed told me I have a bone spur on my right big toe, but since it does not hurt, I am not worried about it. The scars on both heels are very sensitive, which is to be expected, but hopefully as the months go by, they will toughen up. There is just so many things I will be able to get back doing now! Training my dogs, helping clean up our woods, doing landscaping, exercising, feeding my squirrels, birds, deer etc and etc....... Happy, Happy Day!

Cleopatra & Robert John

This is a photo of my nephew, Robert John King and his new puppy Cleopatra. Such a big name for such a little girl. Cleopatra and Robert will be coming up during spring break, so I hope to figure out what kind of mix she is when I see her in person. She sort of has the face of Brussels Griffon or Pekingese, either way she sure is cute.

A 4 Point Major!

Our lovely bitch, San Jo's Ikon, picked up a 4 point major at a dog show in Glen Rose, TX today. We are so thrilled. Ikon just needs a major to finish her Championship. She is entered in a show in two weeks that is a major show. Hopefully she won't blow coat until after that show. I willl post her photo as soon as it comes in.

OMG!

I was heading to the kitchen and just outside my dining room windows were 5 of my 7 deer eating the corn Ken put out for them. Don't know where the other two does are, but these guys are just beautiful and so much fun to watch. Yesterday, when Ken was putting out food for the birds, squirrels and the deer, he looked up and saw 3 of the does about 20 yards away watching him put out the food. They were waiting for him to finish so they could come and eat. I feel so blessed that we found this wooded property in the country. I just wish that I could be a stay at home wife, but that is not to be........sad sigh. It's now 8:30pm and the temperature is now 26 degrees and dropping. They will be leaving soon to bed down, either in our woods or the woods of one of our distant neighbors.

Lazy Day

It's been sort of a lazy day for us today. I have to go back to work tomorrow so we really didn't want to do very much today. Ken and I did bath and blow out Ikon, well at least Ken did the bathing and drying. :-) Still another week or so before I will be out of the wheel chair and walking in a walking cast. Ikon is getting ready to go to Glen Rose for 3 dog shows, a German Shepherd Specialty Show on the 8th and two all breed shows, one on the 9th and one on the 10th. We are hoping that she will pick up one or both of the majors she needs for her championship. She looks awesome right now, great weight and full coat. In another month she will be blowing coat and coming in season, so she needs to do something point wise next weekend! :-) I have some photos to post of our herding club get together on New Year's day. Hopefully I will be able to do that some time tomorrow. Well, off to being lazy some more.
